7P7- Augmented Reality

Using Cospaces, I created an augmented reality on a merge cube because I wanted to make Caesar's birthday on a merge cube. I made five scenes on the merge cube. Two of the scenes show people in their home celebrating Caesar's birthday. One of the scenes is the bedroom the people sleep in with balloons. The balloons are for the celebration of Caesar's birthday. The fourth scene is Egypt celebrating Caesar's birthday too. The last scene is Caesar's in his royal bathroom confused why people are celebrating and why Egypt is celebrating too.

During this process, I learned how to attach the characters to the merge cube. I learned how to make the characters do things like sit in chairs or wear goofy classes. I also learned how to make a merge cube show my five scenes on the iPad. Another thing I learned is how to make objects larger or smaller for the merge cube's size. i learned how to duplicate items so I wouldn't have to go to the library and get a new set of balloons each time.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovate Designer because I used a variety of technology like iPad, computer, and Chromebook. I also designed an Augmented world using Cospace. I tested my world with random items at first and learned how to connect and duplicate them. I also made prototypes of my world learning what to do and making augment reality.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting all my scenes done and duplicating items for my augment world. I was able to do it by testing other worlds and learning how to copy the item like balloons. Another challenge I overcame was that I need to get the correct level so it would look like my items are on the merge cube. I then learned how to just connect all of my items to the merge cube like on the sides or top of the merge cube.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change how the merge cube looked because it was just a normal default type color. The reason why I would change it is because I would like to add more to my world so it looks more real. If I was given a chance to do this again, I would change the story, since my story is about someone's birthday. I would also change how Caesar's just standing on the toilet and make him sit down. I would lastly change the amount of empty space I had on my merge cube in one of my scenes.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in programming augment reality. My project connects in careers in programming augment reality because I made an augmented world and put it on the merge cube. When I placed it on the merge cube, it's like I brought it into the real world. That's what programming augment reality is and I did exactly that. My project connects in computer programming since I programmed my augmented world onto a merge cube in Cospaces Edu.
