Are you working by yourself or in a team?
jackson, maverick, and me
What materials will you need for your project?
Bolts or Robots, Sphero Edu, and someone to record my robot, iPads, and command blocks
What is your plan to create in this project?
I plan on creating this project by completing all challenges and making my own challenge
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will change colors fast and spin while changing colors like a party bomb and it will make shapes by going in certain directions.

Coding Of The Party Bomb:
Reflection In Paragraphs:
Using Sphero Edu, I created a party bomb and a Mini Sphero doing shapes because these two challenges were the most unique. I made the robot go at an certain degrees and go towards that degrees for a second. When that one second was done, a number appeared like 5 for a countdown. I did that same coding until it hit 1, when it was 1, I made the robot spin for 2-3 seconds. The robot would change colors multiply times when the spinning is done, then it would colors and spin again. I repeated that a couple times for my party bomb. I just made my Mini Sphero go a certain degrees four different times to make a shape for the square, I would do three certain degrees for my triangle.
During this process, I learned how to code a bolt to do a party bomb and a Mini Sphero do two shapes (the most shapes I can do right now). I learned how to make a timer that goes down each second and acts like an actual bomb. Each second it stopped for a second then went again. I learned how to make the bolt spin really fast and change to different and multiply colors. That's how I made a party bomb. For the shapes with the Mini Sphero, I made a simple command where it goes a certain degrees for three seconds, then another degrees for three seconds, then another degrees for three seconds, and finally the last degrees that finish the shape. That was for the square. For the triangle, you do a straight line, then a certain degrees, and another degrees to finish the triangle.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I learned how to code a robot and code the robot to make shapes and make a bomb. I'm an Empowered Learner because I leaned new apps to use so I can code my robot. I coded that robot to make a party bomb and I learned new ways for the party bomb to function/work. I'm also an Empowered Learner because I learned how to make my Mini Sphero do degrees that would form a shape. Lastly, I learned how to make more than one shape.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the Mini Sphero to go the correct way/degrees to finish the shapes. I was able to do it by testing all of the degrees that was allowed until it went the degrees/way I wanted it to. Another challenge I overcame was that I couldn't see the colors since I'm colorblind. So, I had my classmate help me and confirm if the colors were different from before. I overcame how to make the bolt go forward for a second and have it transition to another number for the countdown. I also overcame how to make the robot go the correct degrees so it would form the shape when recording the video. I lastly overcame how to make the robot have images on it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how the robot spun and changed colors at the same time. The reason why I would change it is because I could've make the color change with spinning better with a transition. I would change the countdown or retake the countdown because sometimes the bolt went too fast since I couldn't get the perfect speed. I would also change the degrees so it would make more of a perfect square and triangle. I would change how messy the commands were and change the colors to a better "party bomb." Last thing i would change, is the editing I did on iMovie for my two challenges.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in coding. My project connects in careers of coding because I coded a bolt to do a party bomb. I coded the robot/bolt to go forward at a certain degrees for 1 second then transition to the other number for the countdown. I coded the robot to change a lot of colors and spin at the same time. I coded the Mini Sphero to go in certain degrees to make it do shapes like squares and triangles. My projects connects to careers in Engineering Design because I designed robots to make party bombs and make shapes.
