Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
By myself
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need Tinkercad, a iPad to record, 3D printer, and computer to publish the video to my website.
What is your plan to create in this project?
My plan is to create multiply projects in Tinkercad and make whatever my favorite one is on the 3D printer.
What unique qualities will your project have?
A 3D printer design on the texture and the ability to solve problems.

Day 1. Answered my planning questions and made my list of 25 things.
Day 2. Added a "Book" text in the middle of my bookmark and added "Mark" right above it.
Day 3. Snipped some pictures of my design in the website, and added a black cat to the top of my bookmark for Halloween theme.
Day 4. Updated my bookmark to three inches and made the letters and book mark hanger small enough.
Day 5. Added glasses and texture to my project of the book mark and grouped all of my things on my bookmark and added my reflection.
Day 6. Finished my book mark in tinker cad and added more to my reflection.
Video Of My Project With iMovie:
Last Day: Final Project Done.
Day 1 Of my bookmark project and the start process of it (my main project).
Day 2 of my bookmark with the label "book mark" on it.
Day 3: The purple slip is what holds onto the pages in a book.
Day 4 I added glasses to the bookmark to add more to reading/book marks.
Day 5. Final copy of my bookmark design and the final copy that I sent to Mr. Renner.
Using tinker cad, I created a 3D bookmark because I needed to solve the problem of remembering your page by placing the book mark in the page. I made the bookmark 3 inches long and 2.8 inches wide. I added a 1 inch by 1 inch slip at the top so you can connect it and hold the bookmark on the book page. There is one text that says, "Book" in the middle of the bookmark design and then have another text box with the word "Mark" right by the "Book" textbox. My final design has everything group/together in the tinker cad website and will be together when it is printed.
During this process, I learned how to create/make 3D designs. I also learned how to make holes in the shapes. I then learned how to stretch and customize blocks to get the bookmark body. I learned how to add text boxes so it would say, "Book Mark" in the middle and then the side. The last thing I learned how to group all of my pieces together and making my bookmark have the little bookmark slip like other bookmarks you get from reading stores.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor, because I explored issues and created a design to solve the issue. I explored the issues of why people couldn't remember their page when they opened their book again. So, I designed a bookmark to solve that problem.
A challenge I overcame on this project was designing a book mark so people can remember what page they were on their book. I was able to do it by doing side projects in tinker cad and learning how to group the bookmark and make holes. I also grouped all of my pieces together so it wouldn't make the problem of my text marks and bookmark slip falling off. So I overcame the challenge of making the hole for the bookmark slip and connecting all of the things I needed, to make the book mark my final project/copy.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how the bookmark slip. The reason why I would change it is because it was in the bookmark and also above, making the bookmark look worse then expected. I would change the bookmark slip because it went through, above, and a little bit above of the base of the bookmark. I would also change the text to be on top only and not on the bottom or top of the bookmark.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in solving common problems. I solved how to remember what page you were on in a book. The bookmark is extremely useful when you or me need to stop in the book and take a break, so you could remember the page and continue right after.
