I made a code string that makes the led show my name. During this process I learned how to code better with the micro bit

Here is the code string I made to make the micro bit's led rad my name it is actually really simple. If i were going to do it again I would make it read my last name too.

the micro bit speaker

I hooked a speaker up to a micro bit and made a very simple melody to go with it

here is the code for the micro bit speaker, if i were going to do it again i would make a more complex melody

Using the micro bit , I created a speaker system because I figure out how to attach the speakers to the micro bit.
During this process, I learned how to play a simple melody out of speakers attached to the micro bit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because i had to figure out how to hook up the alligator clips to the speaker .
A challenge I overcame on this project was i couldn't figure out how to hook the alligator clips to the speaker. I was able to do it by looking at the simulator / bug fixer in the micro bit code maker.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the messy wiring and the simple music and I would make them more neat. The reason why I would change it is because its hard to fallow the messy wiring to fix it if it comes unplugged.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in in engineering.
