7p6-Robots

Description of Creation 

We accomplished all of the challenges including throwing a tire, writing a word, dancing, and going in rectangles. We also messed around with the robots in the beginning. The projects, in the beginning, were simple stuff like making the iRobot go in a triangle. 

Description of What I Learned

I main thing that I learned was that if you put the wrong angle into the coding it can go very badly. We were writing an "M" and there was a lot of trial and error. I also learned that when you want the robot to write, you have to code it so the marker goes down.

Standards the Project Tied To

Our project tied to Empowered Learner because we were focused. Also, because we decided what to do for our own project. It also ties to Digital Citizen because I have a website that narrates everything I did for the project.

Description of a Challenge We Overcame

A challenge we overcame was that we couldn't get the angles on the "m" in Liam's name right. We kept making angles negative instead of positive and that created a problem. Another challenge was that we couldn't figure out how to make a lower case "a" so we ended up having to do an upper case one.

Description of Something We Would Do Differently.

Something that I would want to do differently is that I would probably want to figure out how to do a lower case "a" for Liam's name. It probably would have been very hard to figure out but I still would have wanted to. Another thing I would want to do differently is that our "M" in Liam's name is slightly off and I would probably want to change the angle of the last line in the "M".

Description of CTE and Career Connection

The CTE would be computer programming. I think this because we programmed robots to write a name and sing Beethoven. The career connection would probably be programming robots to do different jobs.
