Using Tinkercad and a PC, I created some projects to help with everyday problems and other projects were just for fun. The crystal holder helps me keep track of a few crystals, depending on the size of the crystal you can fit more than one inside. The couch can be a cute decoration for a pet when sealed correctly. The soap stand will hold my bar of soap. The ring was mostly just for fun because I wanted to make one. Finally the makeup brush holder was made to keep track of my brushes. The project I want to 3D print though is the crystal holder.

During this process, I learned that it is easier to think of the plan than to execute it. I learned this during the making of my crystal holder and the makeup brush holder. I found it hard to line up some of the parts. Such as the hole and diamond or top of the crystal holder and the sticks in the side for the brush holder.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to  Innovative Designer because I had come up with my designs independently. For all of the designs I have created I did by my self with no help from others or from seeing others designs. I also created numerous unique designs that helped with my struggles.

A challenge I overcame on this project was keeping myself busy. I had a hard time staying busy because I would finish the projects quite fast. I was able to do it by coming up with more ideas and creating them to keep me focused. I also struggled with finding the correct pieces in the app and then adjusting them. I was often looking for a right piece that I needed and ended up empty handed so I had to improvise with what I had which wasn't too hard it was just annoying because It was a little hard to control how much I would want it to move.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design of one or two of the projects.. The reason why I would change it is because they don't look the best and I think I could have improved them. For starters I would change the ring. It wasn't even or very centered and the pieces that held the ring to the base looked weird. The second project I would change is he brush holder. I felt a little rushed with that one and it didn't turn out quite right.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project  ties to this CTE program because I created multiple designs to help solve daily problems for humans.

My project connects to careers in Mechanical design. Mechanical designers solve problems and create designs. This is similar to my project because I too created designs to solve problems.
