I am working in a team with Ellie.
What materials will you need for your project?
We will need cardboard, tape, paint, glue, and the iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
We plan to make a city scape with a movable road to make it look like a car is driving.
What unique qualities will your project have to separate it from other peoples’ projects?
Our project will have a movable truck and hand painted buildings. Plus no one else is making a city scape that I am aware of.

I was briefed on the plan and began helping the team. Traced the boxes and made holes for the road.

Had a few complications. Realized we could not do a movable road. Scraped the Idea of the moving road and created a car.

Got immense amount of work done. Lost a member of the team.

We painted today. My hands are a huge mess. Ellie was absent so I had to paint on my own. Finished the project.

During this process, I learned that you cannot make carboard into a moving sidewalk without proper tools.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructer because I had solve problems in the group and change some of the original plans .
A challenge I overcame on this project was an argument in the group and the changing in some of the plans. I was able to over come this challenge by compromising and looking at it in a different point of view.
Given a chance to do this again, I would spend more time with painting the buildings because they are really bland.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in model making because we made a model of a city and truck.
