I will need a Merge Cube, CoSpaces, and a tablet.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I plan to make a six sided story of a fox's journey in the wild.
What unique qualities will your project have?
This project will have a six sided story created by me with my imagination making up a story.
Day 1
Today we made the website page for the project. I also began looking through the website.
Day 2
Today I planed out what my scenes were and began making the first scene.
Day 3
Today I made the second and third scenes. I also changed the main character to a fox because it had cuter animations.
Day 4
Today I finished my third scene and started the bottom of my cube.
Day 5
Today I finished my fourth scene with the baby raccoons.
Day 6
I Made the 5th scene for the story and double checked the trees and plants.
Day 7
Today I did the review questions and published my site.
Using a PC, CoSpaces, and a MergeCube , I created a short story about a fox's day. The story follows a blue fox walking in the forest meeting different animals along the way and having a great time. I made this story because I thought that it would be fun to make a world with bright colors and happiness. I also thought that it would be very cute.
During this process, I learned how to use a MergeCube and create a six sided story with it. I learned how to snap the animated characters to the cube with the snapping tool. I also learned how to adjust the animations to my liking so that it was my idea of perfect.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator. This project ties to Creative Communicator because I created a six sided story that no one else had made before. It also relates to this because I am posting my short story on my website for people to see.
A challenge I overcame on this project was turning the cube upside down so that I could create the final scene for the story. I found this difficult because I couldn't find the YouTube videos and not many people were that far so they did not know how to either. I was able to do it by right clicking then dragging over the cube. After that I pressed group so that the characters wouldn't move off the cube when I moved it. At first this didn't work because the cube was locked into place but I figured it out and did it the correct way. I got the idea to do this when I remembered that some apps are set up in a similar fashion and right clicking had a similar effect.
Given a chance to do this again, I would probably change the 5th scene of the story. The reason why I would change it is because I kinda ran out of ideas of activities for the fox to do. Also the bird seems really plain and it is not the most creative scene in the world.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to this because I created a story using apps on a tablet and PC to show to people on the internet.
My project connects to careers in Multimedia designer because I designed a story and background to the story. I also played with the colors of the background animals and such. This shows that my project would connect to careers in Multimedia design.
