7P6-Virtual Reality

Using delightex edu, and my iPad, I created a person being chased by a dinosaur while the person is on a Mo-ped. I got inspiration for the project from a level in Mario odyssey. I did this because when I was little Mario odyssey was my favorite game.

During this process, I learned I am really bad at figuring out problems. I had to watch multiple YouTube videos on how to get an object to turn in VR. I still was unsuccessful and realized that you can only turn right. 

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator. This is because I created a website and shared my project with the world.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the objects to run after another one. I wanted the dinosaur to chase the mo-ped. I was able to do it by getting a run parallel block and inserting it into my code.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change my project. I started my project and a couple of days in I thought mine was boring. I would change it to a game that you could play using the controls on a VR headset.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because VR uses digital media like 3D models, graphics, sound, and code to create an, interactive, and computer-generated environment.

My project connects to careers in law enforcement. This is because law enforcment uses many things that involve VR. They use VR for training simulations, such as crime scene investigation simulator and what to do in a real crime investigation.
