What materials will you need for your project?
i will need tinkercad and possibly my iPad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
I am going to create a 3d phone holder that will hold my phone upright.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It can hold my phone for me so that my hand doesn't get tired.
Today I answered my ten ideas and answered my planning questions.
i started narrowing down my ideas and decided on the phone holder.
I logged into tinkercad and started my project.
Today I worked on the dimensions to make sure everything wasn't the size of a pencil.
I put a hole for my phone to sit in and added my name.
today I tried to figure out how to get the phone holder to stand by itself.
I duplicated my design and started messing with details to see if I could make it better. I put penguins on the top and borders on the sides I decided to keep the borders but not the penguins.
Here is the final! I took of the borders because I realized it made my design 28 inches tall and i couldnt get them to downsize so I just got rid of them. I also didn't worry about the colors so much since it was going to be printed in white anyways.
I worked on/finished my reflection.
I got my project printed...did not go as planned. I had to tape the bottom back together.

Using tinkercad, I created a 3d design that will hold my phone up. I wanted to be able to look at my phone without it falling over. It will also make my hand not get tired from holding it.
During this process, I learned how to make a useful design on tinkercad. I also learned that I should have picked a different idea because this project is probably a waste of time because I'm on my phone to much. If I make something to hold my phone then I'm going to be on my phone even more.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer. This is because I created a project that was my own idea.
A challenge I overcame on this project was measuring my design. The measurement was in millimeters which was very difficult to covert. I was able to do it by going into my settings on tinkercad and changing the measurement to inches.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my design. I would change it to a picture frame to put a picture in. The reason why I would change it is because my design was really difficult and I should have done something easier. I struggled with putting on the borders.

My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because I created my own design and tested my ideas.
My project connects to careers in 3d printing technicians. This is because 3D printing technicians work with cutting-edge technology to transform digital designs into physical objects. I did this by designing a phone holder that was my own idea then it got printed into the real world.
