Using iPad and iMovie, I created a video about my favorite things. This includes my favorite animals, my favorite sports, hobbies and what my favorite food and drinks are. I want people to know a bit more about me and this is a really fun way to do it.

During this process, I learned how to make a movie with iMovie and add sound effects and transitions. I also learned how to collect creative commons images so I don't have a copyrighted image. If I wanted to be a film editor this project would be very helpful to me.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator. This is because I made a video about myself and shared it with the world.

A challenge I overcame on this project was being able to use the iMovie app. I was able to do it by exploring and experimenting with iMovie. I did this by figuring out how to do transitions and add pictures which I did not know how to do before.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the music that I picked. The reason why I would change it is because the background music was kind of a boring song. I wanted my video to seem happier and more positive.  

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School because we made a video and the only place to view it is online. This means that you can't print my video on to paper and view it the same.

My project connects to careers in educational content creation. This is because I'm making a video to inform people about myself. I also am doing this globally so anyone could see it if they wanted to.
