PLANNING QUESTIONS
I am working by myself on this project
The materials I will need my this project is Tinkercad and a 3D printer
My plan for this project is to creative a pencil holder
My project will be unique because of the different details to it
Day 1: did my list of 25 and planning questions.
Day 2:i started making the cup thingy then added some holes to it to hold the pencil
day 3: I added 2 more holes and checked the sizing
day 4: I did my reflection questions
Day 5: I made the holes smaller to fit more. Then I sent it to Mr. Renner to print.
day 6: I got the print back and added the pictures and turned it in
Day2
I put the first hole in it
Day 3
i added 2 more holes to it on day 3
Day 5
I decided to make the holes smaller to put more pencils in it
This is the final product
Using Tinkercad I created a pencil holder because it solves a problem of where to put my pencils. It was also easy to make. I also thought it would be cool to have something to hold my pencil.
During this process, I learned that you have to get all of the measurements right if you want it to turn out right. My project wasn't spot on with the measurements but it was fine. So i learned that if you want to make a project like this you need to get your measurements right.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because after the times Mr. Renner had me start over I still got it done and turned in on time. I think it also connects to empowered learner because after already redoing it once I had to brainstorm about something completely different then the last project. I had to problem solve and brainstorm during this project way to many times then i should have.
A challenge I overcame on this project was when I had to start over twice. I was able to do it by working on it in my free time and when i really didn't want to.So I had a few challenges I had to overcome during this process.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what I made. The reason why I would change it is because I liked my city better but Mr. Renner didn't so I couldn't print it. I'm of the biggest fan of this project but as long as its turned in.
