This was my design on Tinkercad
day 1:I did my list of 25 and started my planning questions.
day2:started the base of my project, and the first "size up." I also messed with the sizes
day 3:i did more of the sized up things and made sure they were the right sizes.
day 4: I did another size up.
day5:I duplicated all of my tinkercads and in each one I deleted all but one layer.
day 6: I sent my designs to Mr. Renner and he sent it to the laser cutter
day 7: I got the pieces back and glued them together
day 8:I took pictures of my project and added the pictures to my website. I then did my reflections questions and was able to turn it in.
Planning questions
I am working by myself on this project.
The materials i will need for this project is tinkercad, laser cutter, and wood glue.
My plan to create a basket outa wood.
My project is unique because I've never seen anyone do it and i think it will be really cool.
This is a video of it, every side,
This was during the process of it getting cut.
This Is a closer view to my project.
Using tinker cad and the laser cutter, I created a small bowl like thing because I saw a bigger version. I thought it looked really cool. So I decided to try and see if I could make it.
During this process, I learned how to use the laser cutter. I also learned how to make copy's off tinker cad so I could make basic things with the same shape. When learning how to copy things off tinker cad I learned how to scale shapes.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because my teacher gave me the idea and I made it my own. I chose the shape and how I wanted to stack it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to fit my pieces together. I was able to do it by scaling them right. I had to make sure they could fit inside each other and still be the same width.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change that I didn't paint it. The reason why I would change it is because it went in the laser cutter so it was like burnt. When you pick it up, it is like chortled, so it makes your hands like back and gray.
