7P6 - Virtual Reality

Using Co Spaces, I created a VR version of a hospital. I made it because in the future that is one out of a few options I would like to do as a job. In addition the position I want to do is the receptionist so I had patients coming in and asking for medical assistants.

During this process, I learned how to code certain things. I also learned how to put things inside the buildings. After a lot of trial and error I finally figured out how to do it by watching videos and asking friends for guidance.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I made something and posted it to my website for the whole world to see. In addition my project also connects to Empowered Learner because I choose what idea I wanted to do. Then finally it connects to Digital Citizen because I did not use any copy righted sounds, images Ect.

A challenge I overcame on this project was to not give up and ask for help. Another challenge I overcame was to be creative with your world, add things you normally wouldn't or learn how to code certain things. I was able to do it by just adding things and coding things, in the end I think it turned out pretty cool.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change what my V.R world was about. The reason why I would change it is because I think if I would've token the time I could have made a even better world. I also think I would change having a better set up, like how I set things up maybe move the buildings around, add more things inside them and inside the registry area as well.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to this CTE connection because I used digital multimedia to create my project. Personally i would not take this CTE program at Hastings High School.

  My project connects to careers in virtual content creating because I created a virtual world for many others to see. It also connects to careers in virtual Clinic Front desk (remote) because my world revolves around a hospital and people working at the front desk area. On average they make 45,000- 65,000 per year personally I would not take a job like this one.
