Day 1) We created our augmented reality list of ten.
Baby Rapunzel is killed by Mother Gothel.
Monsters Inc. but kids really kill the monsters.
Up but Harold has a heart attack and the kid is left alone.
Mulan but it's really obvious she's a girl.
Cinderella but she is obsessed with astrology signs.
Belle likes social media instead of books.
Little mermaid but Ariels just deranged and is human.
Toy Story but the toys are murderers.
Inside Out but their all anger.
Sleeping beauty sues Prince Charming.
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself.
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need my computer and, eventually, a merge cube.
What is your plan to create in this project?
A scene made on my computer. probably inspired by a Disney movie.
What unique qualities will your project have?
An original independent scene. Inspired from a Disney movie.
Day 2) I created my first scene and learned how to rotate my cube.
Day 3) I created two new scenes for my project.
Day 4) I created the funeral scene.
Day 5) I created the last two scenes of my project.
Day 6) I tweaked and edited the small details of my cube.
Using cospaces, I created a story of mother gothel from tangled, where instead of keeping rapunzel she just throws her off a building, because I found it fun to add a twist to a popular disney movie. This is why all of my list of ten is based off of disney and pixar movies.
During this process, I learned story writing and scene creation is a difficult process. You have the the option to take your story wherever you want to take it, which basically just leaves the option for random twists. I also learned how to rotate the cube from YouTube.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because all of my work and progress is shared with the world. My project also ties to knowledge constructor because I used the internet to figure out the problems I had.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to rotate my cube. I was able to do it by finding a tutorial video on YouTube. I also had problems sizing my character but I also figured that out in a video. In short most of the problems I had were solved through watching a simple video cospaces tutorial.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the funeral scene. The reason why I would change it is because There were only three family members there and it would have made more sense for more people to be there. I would probably also have not used the witch for mother gothel's character, and would have chose a normal female character. The reason I would change this is I didn't like the witches hat.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School. This is because we used multiple different medias to create this project.
My project connects to careers in 3d modeling because I created a 3d digital model on cospaces. I find this career interesting because I found it fun to create my model on cospaces. I am excited to use cospaces again in our future VR project.
