A dog tag for my dog and one for my cat.

Daily Log

Day 1: Working on list of 25 and web site

Day 2: Working on list of 25 and tinker cad

Day 3: working on tinker cad

Day 4: Finished the design now lasering it.

Day 5: Have to make another copy. one for engraving and the other for carving out

This is what they looked like before but the laser cutter cant do the clips.

Tags for my cat and dog.

This is my cats name. She is a year old now

This is my dogs name. He is 6 years old now

Using Tinkercad, I created tags for my dog and cat because they don't have any and they need one so why not make them.
During this process, I learned you have to make 2 different files. One for engraving the other for cutting out.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I can learn how a technology tool works by exploring it features.
A challenge I overcame on this project was exporting all the shapes and text. I was able to do it by putting them on the grid instead of them floating and same with the other file with the text and designs.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size. The reason why I would change it is because my cat likes to play with her collar so if I make it small she wont rip it off the same with my dog except bigger. He can't reach it anyway.

My project connects to the Engineering Design, CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in 3D printing specialist.
