This is a video from screen castify about my story. I couldve have proably showed the code but I didnt think of that. This one coding took me at least 2 hours.
This is my day 2 project in this video showed the code. In the video I decided to do a maze. In this maze if you touch the sides you have to retart bu luckly i didnt touch the sides.
This is my day 3 project as you can see in the video the cars went around one time. When the first car passed the red line the win. The trucks keys are WASD and the car is the arrow keys.
This is my day 4 project in this video my background doesnt switch so I had to show you that. The keys are left, right, and up arrow keys and you can see what codes I did. This game is expose to be a platform game.
This is my day 5 project in the video you try to escape the bad guys. For my game you just move the mouse around and the fish will follow the mouse. Everytime the fish touches the duck it will change colors and make a sound.
Using scratch I created many different coding projects because there was a list in classroom but also because it seemed fun. I created a racing game which you go around the track once which yu use arrow keys for but I also created a gaming story. I also did a platform type of a game and you use the arrow keys to move.
During this process, I learned how to code using scratch to make new things.. I also learned that the website that was included is a big part of learning how to do things. Another thing I learned was how to make games using code and what types of games there are and can be created.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner because after working on my games I had to fix it and I got feedback from people who played my games. Another way is I was safe online with what tools I used and I was safe while creating my games.
A challenge I overcame on this project was proably first learning how to code on scratch. I was able to do it by keep trying over and over again. I also was able to do it cause I followed the instructions on the site that was included.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what projects I did if we didnt have a spacific tasks to do. I would also maybe change the layout of things like the players for the back grounds. The reason why I would change it is because I feel like trying new things would be fun and learning how to do new things as well.
