This is a picture of My first real Micro Bit code. This Code is the code for communicating with the other Micro bits. The people that i was sharing messeges were Ellie, Hope, and I.
This is a video of the code actually working on our micro bit. The game is Rock, paper,Scissor.
This Code is the code for the teleporting duck but we both changed the duck imiage to something else.
This is a video of the coding results. In the video when Ellie presses A+B It send a word to me and hope, when hope presses A it sends a code to me and Ellie, and when I press A it sends a code to Ellie and Hope.
This is a video of a Rock,Paper,Scissors code.
This is a video of me and Ellie doing something called the teleporting duck.
Using Ipads and Micro Bits I created games on the micro bit because I it was required to code things on the Micro bit. Most of the things I coded had to do with talking to other people through the microbit. Another thing I coded was a Rock,Paper,Scissors game.
During this process, I learned that if your a begginer of coding like me then your going to want help from people who have coded with a Microbit before you.Another thing I learned is that looking up project ideas is helpful into finding things to code. Something else that helped me is proably finding codes to copy down and then change them around a little bit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because I had to look for ideas. Also once I found some ideas which were models of other people doing the code i tried the code out and changed i if i needed to. Achallenge I overcame on this project was proably trying to find more game coding ideas to do or trying to make long coding things. I was able to do it by doing the games that I didnt think were fun but were actually easy codes to do and were fun to play.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change really nothing. The reason why I wouldnt change it is because I liked everything I coded I really liked playing the games I coded. I also liked doing the communicating thing between microbits with Hope and Ellie.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School because I coded on a computer to make codes for the microbits work. My project connects to careers in coding. Some carrers ight be like coding vending machines and stuff like that.
