This is a video of my VR on top of the water world.
This is a short video on the code I used and how I got everything to move .
Using Co spaces, A computer, and a Ipad. I created a VR world thats on top of the water with sea animals because It seemed easier to do at the time than an on land world. Another reason I did and under water world is because most of the worlds that i saw were on land so I wanted to try something different.
During this process, I learned that In order to get things to actually move you had to code them to. I also learned what numbers that woud need to be put in so that when you got on the world it wouldnt just start moving away really fast. Another thing I learned is how to add stuff into my world and then acutally make them fit into the world and make that person or thing look like they belong into that world.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner because i was safe with the VR world and what i wqaas doing and because i fixed the problems that my world had. One of the problems ws the whale jumping updie down on top of the water. Another problem was the boats moving right away really fast when you got onto the world.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the whales to actually do what I wanted them to do. I was able to do it by waa deleting the whales then putting them back into the world. Another thing that helped me was actually coing them to jump instead of move up and thne have them floating.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what project I did. The reason why I would change it is because I think that the water world was cool but I think that making a town on land would have been cool to. Another reason I would chang eit is know I know how to do it and I could do something a little harder.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the CTE program Computer programming at Hastings High School because i coded a VR world on my computer. My project connects to careers in VR worlds of historical places that people might not know about. Also Robot coding that involevs going under water and doing studies.
