Using micro bits, speakers, wires, and micro bit codes. , I have created a variety of things from a very easy name badge to a not so easy micro bit pet. Because I wanted to give myself a challenge in succeeding in innovation and design.

During this process, I learned how to use a micro bit. Another thing I learned was a variety of codes. A final thing was how to connect a code of music to a speaker.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to empowered learner and global collaborator  because I am an empowered learner I can take risks in the progress of learning new. As a global collaborator I will be sharing my website with people from around the world.

A challenge I overcame on this project was problem solving when it came to retrieving information that was not previously saved.  I was able to do it by using my determination and commitment to my project.  I felt that this challenge is something I will experience in the future and I am glad I was able to persevere even when faced with some disappointment.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the different coding that I did. The reason why I would change it is because I found them to be difficult to master.  In the future, I would practice more coding and using coding in everyday activities to enhance my familiarity with coding.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in computer programming because coding is a type of system used in programming computers, software, games and other applications.
