Using a Makey Makey, a computer, wires, and an iPad. I created a functional working "controller" to play Driving Mad and a piano. I did this because a piano and a video game were my top 2 good ideas for this project.

During this process, I learned how to conduct electricity to a Makey Makey . Another thing I learned was playing the games without using the keyboard.  A third thing I learned during this project was what a Makey Makey was and how to use it.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because this project will be viewed by actual people around the world.

A challenge I overcame on this project was conducting enough electricity for it to work. I was able to do it by getting the Makey Makey in the correct spot and keeping my hands in place. Another challenge I over came was learning how to use the "controller" correctly so it would work.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the different thing I did with the Makey Makey. The reason why I would change it is because now I know how to use it I would want a bigger challenge to do. I would also change the quality of the project(s) that I did.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering and Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in car manufacturing because when building a car you have to use electricity to create a car. An electrical worker works with electricity when working with power lines.
