Planning Questions

Are you working by yourself or in a team?

I will be working in a team of three with Lane, Lucas, and myself

What materials will you need for your project?

Cardboard, cardboard scissors, hot glue, and, duct tape

What is your plan to create in this project?

Cut the cardboard, glue the cardboard, and then tape the parts.

What unique qualities will your project have?

It could possibly be something that has never been built before.

Day 1

List of 10 good ideas and googling the pictures for the project.

Day 2

Added two plane wings to the side of the airplane.

Day 3

Added the back wings and tail to the plane.

Day 4

Today I added in a plane floor to the plane.

Day 5

We added four wheels to our plane.

Day 6

After building the plane I put my eyes on building a recurve bow and finished it.

Using cardboard, cardboard scissors, duct tape, and hot glue. I created a cardboard airplane because it was the project that me and my team could agree upon to build together. And we also figured out how to build it in a short time to make it simple and easy.
During this process, I learned how to use a hot glue gun without burning my self. Also with using cardboard scissors for cutting cardboard and not regular scissors. (I still burned myself with the hot glue gun.)
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because I am sharing my website with people around the world. Another reason it would be global collaborator is people around the world agree with what I created and how I did it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the music the correct length for my video. I was able to do it by careful editing, shorting, and making it longer to fit my video.I was also able to use the knowledge from my last project using iMovie.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way the project was built and other pieces to add to the project. The reason why I would change it is because I like a challenge and the plane was just to simple. Another change would be coloring it with different colors and shapes.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering and Design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in designer because this job uses cardboard and other materials to design multiple things.
