Using CoSpaces I created the end of the world scene with some medieval towers. Using Imovie I made a quality video and added some speaking along with music to enhance my project. I created a VR world, because I always like virtual reality, and wanted to show other people what I could do.
I created a VR world using CoSpaces and iMovie because I’ve always enjoyed virtual reality and wanted to showcase my abilities to others. During the process, I learned how to code using CoBlocks, which allowed me to add interactive features to my project. I also discovered how to import videos into my VR world, enhancing its visual and immersive elements. This experience helped me combine my creativity with technical skills, bringing my ideas to life in a way that others could experience and enjoy.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because my entire process of creating the world is shared on my website where people can see it.
I created a VR world using CoSpaces and iMovie because I’ve always enjoyed virtual reality and wanted to showcase my abilities to others. During the process, I learned how to code using CoBlocks, which allowed me to add interactive features, and I also discovered how to import videos to enhance the immersive experience. One of the challenges I faced was ensuring that all elements were correctly angled and placed within the world. I overcame this by dedicating extra time outside of class to refine my project and ensure everything was ready for the next day. This experience helped me combine creativity and problem-solving to bring my ideas to life.
If I had the chance to do this project again, I would approach it differently and work more efficiently. Finishing on the very last day taught me the importance of managing my time better. I like to have a day of rest between projects to reflect on my work and recharge before moving on to the next task. By planning ahead and staying more organized, I could ensure a smoother process and avoid last-minute stress.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to a career as a digital program manager because this role involves working with technology and programming, including AI development. Through creating my VR world, I gained experience in coding with CoBlocks and integrating videos, which aligns with the skills needed in this field. Digital program managers oversee the development of digital products, combining technical expertise with creative problem-solving, much like what I experienced during my project. This connection shows how the skills I’ve learned can translate into real-world career opportunities.
