Using I Motion, Legos, and iMovie. I created a stop motion explaining why recycling is so important. I did this because it is always important to pick up your trash to recycle and not litter.
During this process, I learned what stop motion was. How to use stop motion. And how to create a quality video of stop motion.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because daily logs will be shared with the world. Also because my entire process including the video will be shared to people around the world.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not getting human body parts in the capture. I was able to do it by figuring out my mistakes and getting it right. I was also able to overcome this by getting the correct angles in the images.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the amount of photos in the project. The reason why I would change it is because I felt like the project didn't have enough time (pictures) to unfold and tell the whole story.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the digital multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in graphic motion designer. This job connects to stop motion because it deals with a variety of motions. (Graphic, Stop, etc.)
