Using Legos, iMovie and iMotion, I created a stop motion video to teach people about healthy eating because it is something people need to do more of.
During this process, I learned how to make a stop motion movie.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen because I didn't copy anyone, Global Collaborator because I add all of my work to my website, Compactional Thinker because I did things in order and Creative Comminutor because I communicated to viewers about healthy eating.
A challenge I overcame on this project was one of my character's didn't have a body. I was able to do it by giving her a Lego brick as a body.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change having more characters. The reason why I would change it is because I only had 3 and that made the story seem bland.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Stop Motion movies because I made a stop motion short movie taking a lot of pictures like people that make stop motion movies do.
