What materials will you need for your project? The merge cube, CoSpace

What is your plan to create in this project? Funny stories

What unique qualities will your project have? You can make stories on the app which is called CoSpace and then you can use the same app and a thing called a merge cube that can make your story look like it's an animation and each part of the story is on one of the six sides of the cube.

Using CoSpace, a merge cube, a computer, a iPad and iMovie, I created a story about The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who from Dr. Seuss' The Grinch That Stole Christmas going trick or treating because I thought it would be interesting for there to be a story about the Grinch doing something other than stealing Christmas.

During this process, I learned what merge cubes and CoSpace was, and how to use them.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I learned how to use CoSpace, Global Collaborator because my project is able to be viewed on a screen and Innovative Designer because I made my project using technology.

A challenge I overcame on this project was how to attach the characters to the block. I was able to do it by clicking the characters and the option attach was there. I pressed it and it showed blue dots that caused the item I wanted to be attached to the block, to be attached.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change was adding Who children to the story. The reason why I would change it is because it would make sense that The Grinch would also steal their candy.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multi- Media CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in animation as a director because the website we used allowed us to direct the way our story goes just like directors in animation do.
