My Cardboard Project
The project I made using cardboard
Using cardboard, scissors, hot glue gun and markers, I created a cardboard cake because I enjoy eating and drawing deserts.
During this process, I learned that cardboard cake looks better whenever I simply just sketch a cake.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I planned my project out before I created it and I used many tools in order for me to create it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was there being tape on the cardboard box where I was coloring. I was able to do it by cutting that part of the box and the tape and cutting a piece of cardboard and make it a slice of cake.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I made the cake slice. The reason why I would change it is because it looks weakly made and I feel like I could've made it look like an actual slice of cake.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in construction because I built my project using materials just like construction workers do every day.
