7P3 Micro Bit Project

Are you working by yourself or in a team? I am working by myself

What materials will you need for your project? Micro-bit and its supplies and i pad

What is your plan to create in this project? My plan is to use the supplies and create cool stuff with the micro bits

What unique qualities will your project have? It can be connected to the computer and you are supposed to got to a certain website called microbit.org and you can make images of basically anything and then you push the 'download' button and then it shows up on your microbit.

Using the micro bit, I created projects such as a star, a butterfly and more because I enjoy drawing those things on paper.

During this process, I learned how to use micro bits.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor, power learner, computational thinker and global collaborator because I didn't know how to use the micro bit at first but then the website had sections that taught me how and I sent photos of my creations to my website .

A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to make an apple. I was able to do it by making it, but turned it into a juice box because it looked more like one.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change having music added to my micro bit creations. The reason why I would change it is because it might be nice to have some music playing while looking at micro bit creations.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.

My project connects to careers in software creator because I designed many stuff using a micro bit like software creators do.
