Today I got started with my Cardboard challenge subpage and the list of 10 ideas.
Today I got started on my project and figured out what I want to build and that is a scaring vending machine.
Today I worked on my project by putting in a shelf and finshed the base.

Today I added spider web-like strings but used hot glue on the vending machine.
Today I started to wrap up the project by making a collection box and added the back.

I start to finish my project up by starting my reflection.
Using cardboard, I created a Halloween-themed vending machine because it's fun to get a scared reaction from someone. However, the person who is getting something from the vending machine might cry because of the scare.
During this process, I learned that teamwork is better than doing something on your own. Also, A vending machine is not as fast to build as I thought it would.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I chose what to create for my project. Also, I was thinking of the idea and I wanted it to be a reality.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having the cardboard stick together with tape. I was able to do it by using hot glue and holding it together until the glue cooled. I needed to hold the shelf piece until the glue was cool.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way that I built the base of my project. The reason why I would change it is because the base didn't hold like I wanted it to. I wanted my box to have an enclosed backside.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.
