What am I doing

Day 1
Spider
First I will be photographing and observing a example of the Lycosidae family.
This is it compared to my hand
This is a clearer photo. Its a wolf spider
I tried to free it. It died of fright.
Poor Spider ( I tried to free it and when it died I started examining the spider that's how I got this idea)
Conclusion for day 1
Wolf Spider, family Lycosidae.
Wolf spiders are both beneficial and harmful to humans. The ways they are beneficial are They catch bugs and are scared of you so if you don't bother them they won't bother you. The harmful part of the question is if they do bit you (In self-defense because you bothered it) I'm sorry but you just got a minority venom injected into your bloodstream. you should have mild pain, swelling, or itchiness around the bite, it shouldn't last long. If it is any worse you might have an allergy to the venom, console a doctor or go to the E.R right away.
Day 2
I will be observing and photo-graphing a pill bug
Found it looked like it had an armored back and could move with ease. This is the only picture I had of him sry about the quality
Armadillididae family
Other interesting things I found on day 2
No clue what this is.
If anyone knows what this is email @31JACKSON.BUSSON@hastingsstudents.org
Day 2
Pill bugs, family Armadillididae.
Pill bugs are slightly beneficial to humans because they eat decomposing matter like if you have a bunch of leaves and didn't rake your lawn in the spring the pill bugs will eat that. Pill bugs also are interesting to watch walk and roll around they are harmless.
Day 3 we will find 1 example of the Boxelder Bug.
He made shure I got his good side
Boxelder beetle walking.
He faces me
This is how big Boxelder Bugs are compared to a hand.
He looks away
this is him mid-walk (sry about the quality.)
Boxelder
Day 3 Summary
Boxelder Bug, Rhopalidae.
They are helpful to humans but harmful to boxelder trees because they eat there seeds and eat there leaves but boxelder trees are invasive and don't make good fuel so they help by controlling the population for us.
Day 4 we are gonna find what's out there.
Bug/rodent/mammel home?

Frog
Grub-larva like thing

Day 4 summary
Grubs, Family Scarabaeidae
Grubs are harmfull to humans lawns because they eat grass roots but they turn in to things that eat trees grass leaves and and under ground vegtables like.
Woodland Ground Beetle, family Carabidae
Woodland Ground Beetles are very helpful for crops and provide advantages for humans because they eat caterpillars, wireworms, maggots, ants, aphids and slugs there for protecting your crops.
Day 5 uhhh cant do day 5.
Here's a photo of my cat so you're not disappointed
Here's also is a photo of my chicken running so you're not disappointed also again.
(my chicken ate all the bugs)
This is not my photo Creadit to wiki
Day 5 summary chickens and cats are cute
I found a twice stabbed lady beetle (Chilocorus stigma). I can't find the image I will put a license-able one up
They eat aphids and adelgids which I know aphids eat crops so they are helpful to people.
Using a camera, outside, iMovie, computer, Google Sites, google, and My knowledge, I created a blog where I study bugs, what they do, and what effects they have on humans. I have an intelligent and observant mind and this is what I chose to do with it. This would help people respect all aspects of life Even the ones smaller than them, and get knowledge and a bigger but smaller picture of the world. I also saw a wolf spider trying to free it and it does so I took pictures and got this idea. I wanted humans to put other things, smaller things before themselves before they think they're superior and kill them. I want to make people think about the little things before they think about themselves if you don't mess with a wolf spider it won't mess with you back it's more scared of you than you are of it there non-aggressive your 1000 times bigger than it those are what I want to make you think.
During this process I learned a lot if I were to put it in words I would take up the whole screen with just this paragraph so here's the short version. I learned that It doesn't matter if you are big or small you matter as much as another entity does for the ecosystem. I also learned that wolf spiders are not too dangerous, Grubs are bad, and most beetles are good. Another thing I learned is that every little bug plays a role in the keeping of the ecosystem for example some beetles eat grubs, and grubs control the grass population. stuff like that every little thing plays a role in keeping the ecosystem in balance. Another thing I also learned is that there are so many different types of bugs with different traits if you compare a bug's weight to human weight bugs would win by a landslide.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator Made a blog about bugs for people to see. My project also ties to the empowered learner because I had to find sites that filled my needs by researching and looking on google.
A challenge I overcame on this project was Finding bugs. I was able to bypass that by going into the woods or waiting for them to come to me like the boxelder beetle. Another challenge that I overcame is the cooling weather it's turning winter and the bugs are hibernating I can't overcome that except if I use a warm day. Also, another challenge is my laziness but I persevered through it.
Given a chance to do this again, get more creatures. The reason why I would change this is that l want to make a blog like WoW 8th grader made that, I learned so much. I would like to make something cool and interesting every time. I would also make the blog bigger.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offer Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Digital Multimedia Because I made a blog. I Could get a career in editing directing and Content Creating
The ultimate thing I learned is that...
One thing I learned is that bugs have adapted to almost any environment woods, logs in homes, and even the ground. Spider bites hurt bad I got a spider bite about 28 hours ago when I was sleeping and it was bad. Bugs don't like cold so I'm writing this now before day 5 because it's snowing and I can find any bugs. Bugs are all unique like the boxelder as soon as he heard the camera snaps posed the heck away or the wolf spider who got scared and died. They have more personality than you would think. Everything has a life hard to believe for some people but other things besides you are real. I observed them a lot and I'm using my previous knowledge everything has a role. Ants are drones for the colony I don't know if you can befriend them. The real ultimate thing I learned is that everything has some presence big or small, they matter, you matter, and everything matters. (unless you're traveling by the speed of light then you energy).
