1. An Empowered Learner is a person who uses their knowledge to create their own projects and sets their own goals. They can troubleshoot problems that happen with their project and the technology that they are using. They also reflect back on what they have done and get feedback from their teacher or other students.
2. A Digital Citizen is a student who knows how to behave online and follow the rules and guidelines to be safe and ethical. The student knows that what they put out there online is permanent. The stuff they post cannot be taken back. The student is kind online and knows not to bully anyone and does not do anything illegal.
3. A Knowledge Constructor is someone that can find good reliable resources. They can tell which resources are good to use and which ones they should avoid. The student uses the knowledge they have or finds new information to identify problems and solve them.
4. An Innovative Designer is a student that comes up with creative solutions to problems. The student can design projects by using new ways to think about them. They try new things and keep trying when they come across problems.
5. A Computational Thinker is a student that uses facts and data to solve problems. They know how to break problems down and solve the parts of them. They use computers and technical knowledge to solve issues.
6. A Creative Communicator is able to communicate clearly no matter how they are choosing to communicate. It could be in person, in writing, on social media, in an email, or on a blog. Students communicate knowing whom their audience is going to be. They use lots of ways to communicate such as pictures, words, tables, and graphs.
7. A Global Collaborator works well in teams. The teams can be big or small and include people in their classroom, or in a classroom in a different country. When they work with others, they are looking at problems from multiple viewpoints. They know how to work with others towards a goal. The students in the team look at global issues and try to find solutions together.
