Daily log
Day 1 started on a first design. ( don't know if I'm gonna keep it)

day 5 deleted my whole design and remade it
day 6 deleted my whole design and remade it again and got a little teacher help and got it.

Using a 3d printer, I created a fidget toy because my brother still has a hard time keeping still. This fidget toy would help him sit still (except his hands). I also saw This fidget toy and wanted to make my own. I wanted to make something that had high 3d print quality.
During this process I learned, If you try and fail you can always get help some where. I learned all about Tinker Cad and I had used once before. I have a Toybox 3D printer and I learned that I liked Tinker CAD way better because it is easier to design my own products that I specifically use and need.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I made a 3d printed design to share on my web site so others can see it. My project also ties to empowered learner because I had to learn how to use tinker CAD. Also it ties to Innovative Designer because I had to design my own product.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to Get my design started Mr. Renner help a lot and also toybox 3dprint inspired me. I Also did some out of this class. I also experimented and tried new things until I was able to get it right. I also learned you can search goggle to help spell check words.
Given a chance to do this again, make my design more complex. The reason why I would change it is because l want to build something that people would think wow a 8th grader built that. I would like to build something cool every time.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Drafting technician CAD drafter CAD designer Mechanical designer Project engineer.
