This is my print
Using a 3d printer, I created a things because I have a intelligent and observant mind and this is where my ides go. This would help my ideas get out to the world. I also saw I wanted to make my own water bottle because I saw someone attempt to make one and I thought I could make one and improve their design and show them. I wanted to make something that had high 3d print quality.
During this process I learned, If you try and fail you can always get help some where. I learned all about Tinker Cad and I had used once before. I have a Toybox 3D printer and I learned that I liked Tinker CAD way better because it is easier to design my own products that I specifically use and need.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because I made a 3d printed design to share on my web site so others can see it. My project also ties to empowered learner because I had to learn how to use tinker CAD. Also it ties to Innovative Designer because I had to design my own product.
A challenge I overcame on this project was coming up with desings. I was able to bypass that by milo telling me ideas. I also learned you can search google to help spell check words.
Given a chance to do this again, make my designs more complex. The reason why I would change it is because l want to build something that people would think wow a 8th grader built that. I would like to build something cool every time. I would also make my design smaller.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Drafting technician CAD drafter CAD designer Mechanical designer Project engineer.
