It will be the only one with all the robots
Dash Code
Today Parker and I knocked down three walls with the Dash Robot.
Dash Wall Breaker Video
Today We did four walls and designed a iRobot couse.
Sphero Mini Code
Sphero Mini Maze Video
Today Parker and I built a maze and ran a Sphero Mini through it.
iRobot Code
Today we made the iRobot spell Hot.
Today Parker and I did nothing because all the iPads apps were reset and had to be re-installed which wasn't started until the end of class.
Today I worked on my wensite.
I finished my website and project.
Using iRobot, Dash, Sphero Mini, iPad, and a computer I created a code for the Sphero Mini to go through a maze, a code for the Dash to drive through walls, and a code for iRobot to right Hot because I thought these ideas were fun. I liked the idea of making Dash battle bots, but Parker and I decided to instead make it break through walls. I came up with the idea for the Sphero Mini maze an Parker liked it so we did that. For the iRobot Parker decided what we were going to right and I coded it.
During this process, I learned how to code more in depth. For the iRobot I coded it to spell "Hot". During last years project we coded simple words for the iRobot to spell, but this year we use an uppercase letter and lowercase "t". These are both harder to code than their other forms.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I can set goals for myself. I did this by setting a goal to make three projects for the robots. I also used the proper tools to reach my goal. I did this by using my iPad to code, and the robots to use my code on.
A challenge I overcame on this project was deciding what to do for each robot. I was able to do it by brainstorming separately for each project. For the Dash I wanted to do battle bots at first but then I decided to break through Lego walls after some thinking. For the Sphero Mini Parker and I wanted to do an obstacle course at first, but then decided to do a maze. For the iRobot I want to write my last name and Parker last name combined, but decided to instead spell "Hot".
Given a chance to do this again, I would change was how many robots we did. The reason why I would change it is because I feel like we could've done more for our project. I would've liked to do the Sphero Bolt to, but in the end Parker and I decided to not.
