By myself
What materials will you need for your project?
Tinker CAD, 3D Printer
What is your plan to create in this project?
3d print something to solve
What unique qualities will your project have?
My is the only one that incorporated an egg.
I did my List of Ten Good Ideas and started my Planning Questions.
I did my Planning Questions and played around with Tinker CAD.
I made my design, started building, and I learned how to add curves to straight-edged shapes.
I added an egg and then I used a cylinder to put a hole in the egg.
I used squares to cut off the sides of my pencil holder and made taller.
I sent the stl to google classroom.
Using Tinker CAD, I created a pencil holder out of an egg and box because I thought that I could use a pencil holder..
During this process, I learned how to round the edges on shapes in Tinker CAD.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I brainstormed ideas for an authentic topic and stayed with it all the way.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding a way to stabilize the structure. I was able to do it by adding a base to my print.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change is how tall it is. The reason why I would change it is because then it could hold more.
