Using an iPad and iMovie. I created a video about my favorite things because I feel that your favorite things can really help describe yourself. I included things in video like my favorite music artists, my pets, and things I like to do such as playing the bassoon.

During this process I learned about how to find creative commons images and use iMovie though i have used it before I haven't gone in depth and actually used it to make a real movie/video. I learned that it is important to stick to a theme whether that may be putting a filter on a picture or taking it out in general.  Those are the things I learned while doing this project.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I used a design process and tested and refined my movie. I also ties to Global collaborator as I used digital tools to connect with learners from a variety of backgrounds and cultures. 

A challenge I overcame on this project was adding transitions and sound tracks. I was able to do it by asking for my friends help and exploring until I found a way to do it . Another hard thing I overcame on this project was formatting the video so it fit the 30 sec to 1 min cutoff.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the time limit so i could make it as long as I wanted. The reason why I would change it is because 1 minute wasn't long enough to fully describe to myself and my favorite things. I would also change the site I used, I am much more comfortable with something such as Canva.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  It connects to Digital multimedia because it combines multiple media forms, such as text, graphics, audio, video.

My project connects to careers in video production because it  deals with producing a video. A video producer manages the making of a project/video which  I did. This  is why I believe that this project connects to a career in video production.
