7P8- Makey Makey

Using the maqkey makey, aluminum foil, computer, iPad, and some games to play , I created a aluminum foil controller because we wanted to plays games on a controller and we didn't want to use the keyboard and mouse. So we created the controller and played games with it.

During this process, I learned how to connect the makey makey to my computer to be able to play games with it.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructer because I looked up videos to help figure out how to use the makey makey and what projects to do that's how we figured out how to build the project and play the games.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting it to work properly I was able to do it by watching a bunch of videos and reading how to connect things.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change what thing I made to be able to play games. The reason why I would change it is because we figured out how to use the makey makey on the second to last day that we had to make the project.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in Engineering Design because We made the controller then hooked it up to the computer to be able to play games on it.
