Using a wood board and a easel website, I created a wood sign because I wanted to decorate my room.

During this process, I learned how to use the carving website.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to computational thinker because I was able to solve the depth issue I had for the carve bit.

A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the correct board. I was able to do it by measuring the board and cutting it down.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of the board. The reason why I would change it is because the designs felt to cramped.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the construction trades CTE program at Hastings High School.

My project connects to careers in woodworking because I made a design that got cut out on wood.
