Micro Bit project

day 1  I learnd how to code the microbit and say my name

day 2 i continued to improve the code and make a video

I made a few add ons to the first micro bit code and went on to code a different code

I attempted to turn the micro-bit into a compass  experimentally and it ended up in this tilt game when i did it so that was kind of cool

• Using A micro-bit, and a coding website  I created a micro-bit that can play music and show all twelve signs of the zodiac because I thought it would be a fun challenge to program the micro-bit to play music. During this process, I learned how to properly code using a coding website. I also learned hoe to use block coding to make the code for my micro-bit

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer and empowered learner because i worked hard and was able to create a code on the micro bit.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was designing all 12 zodiac symbols because it is very hard to digitally make shapes on a micro-bit. I was able to do it by persevering and trying my hardest to make the shapes. I also hade a challenge making it able to make the music and figuring out how to use it.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change the music part of the micro-bit. The reason why I would change it is because it was hard to get to work and felt like a unnecessary setting to have. It was very hard to understand and connect headphones too.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in engineering design. because I programmed a micro-bit using a computer coding program.
