Using Coding Software, Robots and, my basic coding skills I created the 4 challenges of this unit because I wanted to learn all the different software's that we have offered to us by Mr. Renner.
During this process, I learned that when learning a new software that you are not used to you are going to make mistakes, like how I wanted to code my robot to say bob but it ended up not working at the last B. Or when I wanted to make my robot play Marry Had A Little Lamb but it ended up not playing it for a unknown reason.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I am looking at all of the different challenges and choosing which ones I want to do and which ones I don't want to do. In my case I did every challenge but in others cases they may have chosen to do 1 or 2 challenges.
A challenge I overcame on this project was Working in a team with people I did not know as well as I may have wanted to. I was able to do it by doing it with people I trust, or people I know. Another problem was learning why my code didn't work and fixing it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the name challenge. The reason why I would change it is because with the name bob it is hard to repeat everything to look like bob. And coding the second B was harder than the first because I realized that I couldn't just copy and paste it like I tried.
