What unique qualities will your project have?
It will be touch based, so you touch a part of the Micro-bit it makes a random number pop up.
Day-1 | Today I missed a chunk of class, so I had to review with my neighbors after our teacher finished his presentation.
Day-2 | Today I am going to look up videos to show me how to make a random number generator and how to flash my name on the micro bit.
Day-3 | I finished coding my name but I had to find a micro bit that would connect to my computer. When I found one I continued and almost finished my code before class ended.
Day - 4 | Today I took videos of my code in action.
Day- 5 | I edited my videos today and began working on other codes for practice and fun.
Day-6 | Today I was working on my paragraphs.
Day-7 | Today I was working on different more difficult codes and was also looking at the micro bit's capability for music.
Day -8 | I worked on my paragraphs for the entire hour and finished them. Afterwards I went and helped my classmates around me
Day - 9 | I completed my microbit project today.

Using Micro-bits and Coding, I created a random number generator because I thought it would be a fun project to complete and seemed easy because this is my first ever project I coded on my own without help.
During this process, I learned that asking for help is important even if you don't want to ask. And that while looking things up on the internet to always be careful. That videos can be more helpful then reading especially if you don't read fast. And that music really helps me focus on my project. Also that somethings are going to go south and that you cant really stop it.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because Knowledge Constructor is about finding good sources online and because we had no instruction on how to do this project we had to find our sources online. Which meant a lot of trail and error within my project. I found sources on how to make basic code via the micro bit website, I found tutorials on how to make music, how to clip alligator clips onto my micro bit to hear my music.
A challenge I overcame on this project was doing it all on my own. Even though group projects are hard, and working with others is a hassle. That sometimes its easier to work with people especially with coding projects.. I was able to do it by searching up what I needed. When you figure out what you need to do its very easy to find people who have done the same things. And look at what they have done and twist it in your own way. Like how I found a way to make a heart beat and instead of a heart beating I made a man dance.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change What I was doing. I would probably make something more difficult, like flappy bird or snake. The reason why I would change it is because it was too easy and I found I finished it before I would like to, I thought it was going to take 4 days but it ended up only taking 2.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. Because I am programming my micro bit to do what I want. My project connects to careers in Game design, Computer Programming, Web Development and Computer Animation.
