Using a Mico:Bit, coding program, and a Ipad, I created codes and uploaded them to the Mico:Bit because I wanted to use code to create interesting things.
During this process, I learned how to code things like animated animals and a water bottle alert using the Mico:Bit.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I used technology to create the projects on the Micro:Bit.
A challenge I overcame on this project was having to switch a project because I couldn't find the correct code to put into it. I was able to do it by finding a new and easier project that I could find the code to.
Given a chance to do this again, I would switch the easy code to a harder code. The reason why I would change it is because I'm disappointed in myself for not pushing my coding abilities to their limit.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Computer Programming because I used the computer to program code into the Micro:Bit.
