7P2- Cardboard Challenge

Using cardboard, hot glue, string, clay, wire, foil, and paint, I created a scene of Spider-Man swinging because we wanted to create something interesting and visually appealing to look at.

During this process, I learned that using wire, foil and clay to make a figure is more difficult than I originally thought it would be

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I used different technologies during the process of the project to fix issues in the project and made new and interesting ideas with said technology.

A challenge I overcame on this project was creating Spider-Man. I was able to do it by spending days working the clay into the shape I wanted and painting it to make sure it looked perfect.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way Spider-Man's body is shaped and built. The reason why I would change it is because he is too skinny and has a deformed body.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.

My project connects to careers in Engineering Design because engineering played a big part in creating the cardboard background along with the string holding Spider-Man up.
