7P10 - stem project

Using tinkercad, I created a family tree because I thought it would look nice to hang up. Also using a laser cutter I engraved my family's names into a piece of wood. Another reason that I created it is because I thought is would be really cool which it was.

During this process, I learned how to laser cut. Also during this project I learned how to engrave name's into a piece of wood. The last thing I learned was what a laser cutter looked like.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learned because I picked how I wanted the names to look. it also ties to empowered learner because I picked what I wanted to make.

A challenge I overcame on this project was have the laser cutter not engrave it right. I was able to do it by having Mr.Renner fix it. Another challenge i over came was sending it to Mr.Renner.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change which family I did. The reason why I would change it is because we already have one of our family so I can do a different one like my grandma's. i would also change the board because I would like to have it a circle next time.
