Daily Log
Today I expanded my website for 8th grade and began my video project.
I relearned how to use iMovie and started on my movie, adding an intro.
I continued work on my movie, adding some things about me.
I finished up all my ideas and polished the sound effects, but I still needed more content.
I decided to add a top 10 list of things I now can't live without.
I finished up the list and added a voice-over. I then exported my movie to Google Drive and finished up the project.
I finished my reflection and added a video of the project in the editing software.

Reflection
Using iMovie, I created a video about how I've changed from 7th grade to 8th grade because I really have changed a lot in one year. My interests and hobbies have shifted a lot from my old self, with only some things staying relatively the same. I also think that short-term trends have some sort of effect on my interests.
During this process, I learned how to make my voiceover loud enough to hear but not low quality. First of all, I stopped clipping it to my shirt which tended to be too close to my mouth, instead holding it at about the middle of my chest. This made a reasonably loud sound while also not decreasing the quality of the audio. I then had to balance out the volume of my music and sound effects with my voiceover to create a blend of sounds more pleasing to hear, my voice being the main focus but my music also in the background able to be heard.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digital Citizen because I only used Creative Commons images and sounds in my video. I also got verbal permission from my friend to use his face in the video.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to add new music mid-video. The software thought it was supposed to start at the beginning and I couldn't get it to start later. I was able to do it by duplicating the audio and adding it right after the first one. I then muted the first audio so that the second one would start mid-song and the first one would never play, even though it is still technically there.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of the hobbies I showed. The reason why I would change it is because I feel like I could've added more diverse interests of mine. What I showed was mainly focused on streamers and video games.

This could include the creating of advertisements or promotional videos for companies, or even the programming of the software itself.
