My plan is to create a video game called Survival^2
What unique qualities will your project have?
It is completely made by me with original ideas that no other game has employed together.
Daily Log:
Day 1
I started messing around and learning the basic features of GDevelop 5.
Day 2
I created a basic game where you move a square around the screen.
Day 3
I made my game more platformer-like and named it Survival^2. You play the game as a small black square and move around the screen to survive various events. Today I added two events; Acid Rain and Flash Flood. I also added a basic time and scoring system. The scoring system awards one point per second the player is alive, plus five points per event survived.

Day 4
I added three more events; Right Spikes, Left Spikes, and The Floor Is Lava (a classic). I then added a death screen and main menu. The death screen has 4 randomly generated death messages.

Day 5
I made music that plays during the game. I also added a settings menu on the main menu. The settings menu includes volume adjustment and new skins for the square you play as. So far I have only added one. I updated the scoring system, so instead of just adding five points per event survived, the points rewarded per event start at five, and increase by one every event.

Day 6
I added a new event called Ceiling Crusher (I think that's pretty self-explanatory). I also added a lot of new sound effects to make the game more immersive. I cleaned up the settings screen and added cheats. The two cheats are invisibility and invincibility.

Day 7
Today I made the main menu buttons and title look cooler. I also added a secret, but I can't write about it. (It's a secret).
