I am working by myself, I am coding a micro bit, with the micro bit i am going to make it say my name and move when it says my name (Addella)
on day one i started working on my website, and started oworking on my planning questions
On day 2 I started working on the Micro: Bit for real, having my friend to help me out on the tough parts as well as the teacher.
Today I finally finished coding the Micro:Bit and went to see what was next. I had to change some variables, so I planned those out on a separate piece of paper for tomorrow.
Today I put in thew variables and edited the variables I mentioned earlier, deleting some and changing other through the process, making the project go smoother and quicker.
Today I updated the website at home, I wasn't here to finish everything and accidentally ended up deleting the page on my website, in which I'd find out the next day.
Today was the last day to finish our project before it was due. I finished up the the website and planned to work on the rest when I got home, this way it would be less stressful.
Using Micro: Bit Make Code, I created a Micro: Bit made to p[project my name with flashing lights, timed letter sensors, and red in color for creativity to express my personality. because i though it would be a good expression of my creativity and would reflect my vibrant personality with its red color and eye catchi9hng flashing lights.
During this process, I learned how to code while using microbit make code expressing my personality with my technical knowledge.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to computable thinker because while making the micro bit say my name and add the color and flashing lights i had to code it and make it look good and add other features to mt micro bit.
A challenge I overcame on this project was using the computer to make the micro bit and coding at first i no clue how to code but then i got help from friends and after that i had figured it out . I was able to do it by asking form help from people Given a chance to do this again, I would change and add more details and maybe next time i would make a sentence with many different colors. The reason why I would change it is because then it would've been a funner, more interactive project. Maybe then I
would've also been much more immersed as well into the project. I personally think that if I had added more details, I would feel much more confident submitting this in last minute.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming in the CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in embedded software engineering, firmware engineering, electrical engineering, and computer programming because they all include areas in coding and logic, making things through Python, Javascript, etc. They also all include hardware interaction and user interface technology and knowledge, making my Micro:Bit project a perfect representation of all of those combined.
