Using a glow forge, I created a cutting board because my mom needs a new one for her kitchen.

During this process, I learned how to use a glow forge.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to knowledge constructor because I'm making a cutting board on  computer and it it connects because you have craftsmanship.

A challenge I overcame on this project was asking for help from other to help me with my project. I was able to do it by asking someone to help me.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of my wood for my cutting board . The reason why I would change it is because the board is very bendy and the very thin wood .

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in engineering because when you use a glow forge you have to design it and work the glow forge.
