This is my list of 25 things you can do with an iPad

Using one of the classroom iPad's and the app iMovie , I created a video that brought up problems that middle school students have to face. My group thought it would be interesting to see what we could do with this topic to try to reach others. The people in my group were Skylar, Cohen, Aubree, and Kimber. Each of us had a specific task and part in either filming or being in the video.

During this process, I learned that it is very hard to stay serious when the camera is on you. We kept laughing and it took us many tries for each topic to get a good video. It became kind of frustrating because, we just wanted to get it done but we kept laughing. Also, since we filmed it through the school, it was hard to film sometimes if there was a teacher, worker or student walking through.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we used the iPad and the apps on the iPad to edit and put together our video. My project also ties to, Global Collaborator for the same reason because we used not only the iPad but the contents the iPad provided.

A challenge I overcame on this project was having to take many videos to get one good one. Also, we had to speak with Ms.Coats about our idea and get her approval because it can be a tricky topic. I was able to do it by working around the obstacle and watching our words so we stayed appropriate and right during he videos.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change maybe the topics because they were kinda hard to work around and it took us longer to get them right then it did to get the videos filmed. Also, we could possibly try filming in the classroom with the green screen. Although it looked nice throughout the school, we had to work around people passing by.

This project connect to careers in production. Like software and putting videos together because I was good at filming the videos and also putting it all together in the end. Also , we could be actors because we had to act and talk in front of a camera.
