Hastings Middle School Student
8th grade Innovation and Design Quarter One Reflection:
I came into this class nervous because I am not necessarily good with technology. I had to ask for help a lot especially in my 3D print and Drone project because I was not familiar with the technology. My first project was a success. I created a cereal bowl and was very proud of my work. My second project took about 2 weeks. WE created a VR world and had to adapt and use all new technology.
After the first 2 project I started to easily understand how to work the technology and when I came to my 3rd project it was fairly easy. Skylar and I made obstacle courses and made our BB8 robots go through it. It took me a minute to get used to the coding aspect of it but I caught on quickly. My last project of the quarter was a drone. I got frustrated because my drone would not connect. With the help of my peers, I was able to learn the secret on how to connect it and I coded my drone to go forward and do multiple flips. In this quarter, I have learned very much and I am excited to learn more in my last quarter of this class.
